What is Your Inner Paradise?
Imagine enjoying a tropical island sunset, after a lovely leisurely walk, hearing and sensing the refreshing ocean surf, waves ebb and flow, toes in the sand, in solitude or with your favorite beach beings, sipping an icy cold drink? Or going through lush green woods, with your hiking buddies, smelling that alive, earthy freshness, bright filtered sun and cool shade, taking in all the scenery, gorgeous tall trees, and wondrous wildlife. What about enjoying a spectacular, panoramic view of the mountains? Your breath, completely renewed to the center of your being. And when it’s peak fall season, as the leaves are changing, with fantastic hues of orange, red and yellow all around. Breathtakingly beautiful or is that life and breath giving? Do you love the sound of the gentle, running stream in the background? Or standing under a soft waterfall, allowing the flowing, abundant water to cleanse your energy and nourish your spirit. Or enjoying water in its frozen form, skiing in fresh fallen snow, giant powdery snowflakes, sun and ice crystal reflections all around, moving and feeling free, yet warm and snug inside your winter gear. Prefer something a bit warmer? How about strolling, sitting and meditating in your beautiful, peaceful summer garden, filled with every color and fragrance under the sun. Butterflies abound and that gorgeous, brilliant gem-colored hummingbird comes up to take a closer look at you. Hmmm … perhaps that hummingbird is checking out the flower tucked behind your ear into your sunlit hair. Gardens are so warm and luxurious, spending time both creating and enjoying all the living, ever unfolding beauty. Does your garden turn into a magical place in the moonlight? With the purest white, most fragrant, flowers that bloom only in the evening. Wow, that naturally sweet, floral perfume that lingers in the cool night air is intoxicating. Makes you want to sleep under the stars? Perhaps camping is your thing … exploring the wilderness during the day and sharing stories around a campfire at night. Why is it that food tastes so much fresher and more delicious outside? So what about indoors … is there anything cozier than snuggling up in a big easy chair, with your feet up, by the fireplace when it’s cold and rainy out. Especially with a warm, velvety blanket or throw, extra pillows, sipping hot tea. With or without a great book, listening to the rain is so relaxing and rejuvenating, there’s a natural rhythm that deepens one’s breathing and being.
So it’s true, life is good. Really good. Spending time to create an experience, and a memory, perhaps an old tradition or new, with your favorite family and friends, or your dearest soul mate. Or maybe it’s having some of that elusive, oh so precious ‘me’ time. Connected with others, to oneself, and/or in nature, one is never really alone, right? Whatever Your Inner Paradise, hit refresh and your imagination can take you there any time in a nanosecond. And who knows where that will lead you … your choice of course!
